SMSForwarder is a free Android application that allows you to set up automatic SMS forwarding on your Android powered phone. You can forward incoming and outgoing texts to multiple recipients; even more, not just as another text but as an email too.
Main highlights:
- Forward incoming/outgoing SMS as another SMS
- Forward incoming/outgoing SMS to any email account via SMTP
- Multiple forwarding destinations are supported
- If the phone has no network connectivity forwarding will be retried later
- No password required, it uses Gmail SMTP via OAuth
A summary about how SMSForwarder works and tips how to configure it can be found here.

Want to be able to forwarder incoming and out going text
As of SMSForwarder v0.4 it is now possible to forward outgoing texts too.
I really like this app because it is the simplest and most straightforward way to keep a history of both sent and received texts. I just wish it would show the contact’s address book name in both the incoming and outgoing messages.

Is it planned to make SMSForwarder available for samsung galaxy tab 10.1 ? (Android 3.1) ?
Is it not showing up on the Market on the Galaxy Tab? It should work with any device capable of sending texts. I’ll look into it.
Great app, but agree that it would be very nice to include the address book name (if any) for phone numbers and the date and time of an actual SMS message into the email body.
Thanks!
blvbgfrek, thanks for the suggestion, I plan to do some work on the app and add some features, hope I’ll be able to find the time and get to it soon.
